• A joint venture partnership of Dallas-based The Rainier Cos. and Birmingham, Ala.-based Harbert Management Corp. purchased a large retail asset from Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group. The 257,988-square-foot Southpark Meadows III was sold for an undisclosed price. The parcel is part of the larger Southpark Meadows regional center, a 425-acre mixed-used development near I-35 and Slaughter Lane in far South Austin. Southpark Meadows III was built in 2007. Tenants include Conn's HomePlus (Nasdaq: CONN), Cinemark Theatre, Spec's, Sheplers Western Wear and Half Price Books. At the time of sale, it was 93.8 percent occupied. CBRE Capital Markets National Retail Investment Group — brokers Chris Cozby, Chris Gerard and Kevin Holland — and Michael Maffia of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the seller.
