Residential real estate firm Redfin, which officially expanded to Hawaii with the opening of a Honolulu office this week, plans to gradually grow in the MARKET, its Hawaii market manager told PBN.

Currently, the firm, which opened an office at the Ala Moana Building at 1441 Kapiolani Blvd., has four agents, including Michael DeMello, MARKET manager for Redfin.

DeMello, who grew up in Pearl City in Central Oahu, previously worked for Honolulu's Prudential Locations, now known as Locations, and recently returned to the state after working for Redfin in Seattle, where the company is headquartered.

He noted that it is building the team and hoping to have a handful of agents by the end of the year.
