Donald Smith has purchased a 15,000-square-foot single-tenant facility at 16310 Hollister. Robert McGee, Thomas Leger and Chase Cribbs of TNRG represented the seller, Hightower Investments. Darren O'Connor of NAI Partners represented the buyer.
Highway 6 Acquisitions has purchased a 58,824-square-foot building on 6.5 acres at 23147 Texas 6 in Alvin. David Buescher, Travis Secor and Leah Miller of JLL represented the seller, E.L. Boyd Enterprises. Jim Stark of CBRE represented the buyer.
Apartments
San Diego-based Strata Equity Group has acquired a dozen apartment properties, including five in Houston, from Blackstone Real Estate Partners VII. The portfolio purchase was made in partnership with a private Mexican investor group. The local properties total more than 1,700 units in five different submarkets of Houston. The addresses were not disclosed. Overall, the portfolio totaled more than 4,600 apartment units with other properties in Atlanta, Austin and Denver. Commercial real estate firm HFF advised the seller. Strata was represented by the Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch legal team led by Robert Brown.
Transwestern's Houston multifamily investment sales group has completed the sale of four apartment properties totaling 704 units. Ed Cummins, Tim Gregory, Guadalupe Olivares and Ryan Mendez represented the sellers in the following transactions. DCM Cancun LP purchased the Cancun Apartments, a 324-unit community at 1855 Wirt from Elite Spring Branch Properties. A first-time Houston buyer purchased the Huntington at Stonefield, a 264-unit community at 13100 Stonefield Drive, from CRP TBG Huntington Green. An in-state buyer purchased the Legacy Apartments, a 70-unit community at 3905 and 4515 Lockwood Drive that was a recent foreclosure, from SAMC REO 2013 01. A private investment group purchased Hidden Pines, a 46-unit community at 7611 Jalna, from Fat Property.
Hotels
Shree Dash Maa has purchased the 100-room Budget Lodge at 17011 East Freeway in Channelview from Veenalaxmi. Arun M. Parikh of Aaaron Property Investments handled the sale.
Land
Riverstone Commercial Development has purchased 9.6 acres at the southeast corner of University Drive and LJ Parkway in Sugar Land's Riverstone community. Jennifer Johnson with Johnson Development Corp. represented the seller. Kristen Barker with Wulfe & Co. represented the buyer. The buyer plans to develop the property by subdividing it into smaller sites for retailing, restaurants, medical uses, day care and offices.

Drilling Industry Inspection Service has leased 473 square feet at 5870 Texas 6. Trey Young represented the landlord, Hartman Income REIT.
Stewart Lender Services has renewed its lease with Omninet SWCC in Southwest Corporate Center at 9700 and 9702 Bissonnet. Rich Pancioli, Jon Lee and Lucian Bukowski with CBRE represented the tenant.
Industrial
PCI Promatec has signed a 10-year lease for 11,200 square feet at 8846 N. Sam Houston Parkway West in Levey Group's Sam Houston Business Park. With Promatec's lease, Phase I of the business park is 100 percent leased. PCI Promatec develops fire protection products for nuclear, power and chemical processing applications. Joseph Smith of CBRE represented Levey Group. Chris Caudill of NAI Partners represented the tenant. The park consists of three tilt-wall facilities, and a fourth building with 56,000 square feet that is under construction. Other park tenants are Flotek, Ringers Technologies, Tyndale USA, NDLI Logistics, Westermann BG and Doorscapes.
Woodfield Distribution has leased 48,600 square feet at 1113 Gillingham Lane in Sugar Land. Woodfield Distribution is a third-party logistics provider specializing in pharmaceutical supply chain solutions. Darren O'Conor of NAI Partners represented the tenant. Michael Flowers and Justin Robinson of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, IIT Sugarland Interchange DC.
