Property rates haven't been hit by slowdown in Varanasi

The ancient city of Varanasi would give any other modern city a run for its money as far as commercial activity and realty prices go.

Unlike the perception of the city being laid back and untouched by economic growth, the business community here continues to thrive and many are sitting on huge piles of cash. Perhaps that's why the recent economic downturn had little impact on the realty prices and many property brokers and buyers point out that there was little or virtually no correction in prices since late last year when the prospects of an economic slowdown started rearing its head.
